Justin Bieber's Love Yourself is the first Number 1 single of 2016

He may have lost out on the Christmas Number 1 (after backing his competitors for the top spot), but the dethroning of Justin Bieber was short lived as Love Yourself is back at Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart.
The superstar logs a fourth week at the summit and claims the first chart-topper of 2016 with the track, which is lifted from his latest album Purpose.
Bieber also continues to dominate the Top 5, with Sorry back up a place to Number 2 and What Do You Mean? at 4.

Elsewhere in this week’s Top 5, Adele’s Hello climbs back to 3, and Grace ft. G-Eazy’s You Don’t Own Me is at 5.

New entries and high climbers

Fleur East’s Sax, which was a regular feature on TV over Christmas, rebounds eight spots to Number 6, and MNEK & Zara Larsson’s Never Forget You jumps from 16 to Number 10.
Outside the Top 10, Little Mix’s Love Me Like You leaps from 20 to 11 – a new peak for the song in its 14th week on the Official Chart – and US singer Shawn Mendes zooms 13 places to Number 12 with Stitches.

Further down the chart, a number of songs re-enter this week’s Top 40, including Walk The Moon’s Shut Up & Dance (up 24 to 27), R City’s Locked Away (up 17 to 28), Little Mix’s Black Magic (up 32 to 30), One Direction’s Drag Me Down (up 17 to 31) and Ariana Grande’s Focus (up 17 to 35).
