Ryanair has published the first photo of its new-look interiors, with a radical toning down of its signature yellow.
The airline tweeted a photo of the forthcoming Boeing Sky cabins this weekend, prompting a mixed reaction from Twitter followers.
"Yay, sunglasses no longer needed on the 6.30am flights," tweeted one user, Piero Tintori (@pierotintori).
"Those yellow headrests though," tweeted another, Ian Ferguson (@IJFerguson). "Too raw for that setting. Right at eye level."
The Ryanair interiors reboot was first announced in March 2015, when the airline promised to refresh a colour scheme CEO Michael O'Leary himself labelled as "garish" as part of its Always Getting Better campaign.
The new photo shows dark blue seat covers and a yellow portion to the headrest, along with 'slimline' seats that are thinner from front-to-back, allowing the possibility of more legroom and/or more seats on aircraft.
The revamped interiors will feature on new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which will also feature larger windows, increased headroom and LED lighting.
It's a far cry from the not-so-mellow-yellow of old (pictured)...

Last autumn, Ryanair also unveiled new cabin crew uniforms (below), created by Irish designer, Emma Collopy. Their 'golden' yellows, darker blues and smart tailoring began being rolled out on its network this December.
The new Boeing Sky interiors are scheduled to arrive this month.
